Our Delhi

Waiting for the prey, Croc in Delhi Zoo. Looks Like a politician waiting for a comman man

As now I am living in Delhi from last few months I would like to share the difference and resemblance between any big city in Maharashtra and Delhi.

We can list down following points:

A) Similarities:

1) The cream areas are well maintained, neat and clean
2) The outer areas / newly added areas are not maintained properly.
3) Work of flyovers is always slow, which invites lots of traffic jam.
4) Policemen are same (As everywhere) or a little more arrogant in Delhi.
5) People try to obey the rules where it is strictly observed, otherwise hell with it.
6) Goods carriers (Vehicles) running on diesel make same pollution and you will find them always overloaded.
7) People love to spit everywhere
8) People love to throw garbage everywhere.
9) Politicians are same, living for own sake and not caring for the people.
10) Electricity problem is same, especially in summer season.
11) Summer is very hot, winters are very cold. Just like Nagpur
12) Autowalas will never charge by meter.
13) Poor people are everywhere and live in a same condition.
14) Crooks and thugs are same.

B) Differences:

1) As compare to Mumbai, Nasik or Pune, the drainage system is very bad in Delhi, underground drainage system is not fully functional or in some areas it does not exist. Only around CP, Akbar Road, Raisina Road etc area in looks better.
2) Parking system is very pathetic in Delhi. People park the vehicles as and where they want to park, not bothering about traffic jams. They will wait in car for some one, parked in between the road (Believe me, in between the road) neglecting the honking happening from both side.
3) Societies / Bunglows do not have parking places. As MCD (Municipal Corporation of Delhi) approves blue prints of societies / bunglows without allocated parking (That’s what residents claim), so people park vehicles on the road, on both the sides inviting traffic jams.
4) Walls of Buildings/ Bunglows are common, there is no rule to keep distance between two buildings, so you have to carve (Yes carve) windows only at front and back side of buildings. The back alleys are always in bad shape, full with garbage and drainage water.
5) No P1 or P2 system is functional in Delhi. Road is always smaller because of it.
6) You will not be able to find a single car without a scratch (Audi, Merck, BMW or talk about any model). Vehicles are in bullshit condition.
7) Vehicles running on CNG are looks like from the time of British era; I saw one auto rickshaw welded at thousand spots, carrying school children inside. The maintenance word is not in the list of public / Goods transport vehicles.
8) Autowalas will ask for any thing for your destination. If he charges as per meter than you have to offer 10 or 20 rupees as ‘ Faltu’ ( Extra)
9) Go anywhere; you have to pay for the vehicle parking.
10) You always have to give a road to the VIP vehicles; these VIP’s are more in number than mosquitoes found in Delhi.
11) There is no single water tank for a building; every house in the building will be having separate water tank and mechanism to operate it.
12) You will find thousands of dead air coolers lying hear n there in a colony or in a building , although MCD always argues to dispose it for mosquito reason.
13) Mosquitoes rule the capital of India ( Real ones and Blood Sucker politicians).
14) If you are calling to People for business or someone has taken your appointment he/ she will never turn for the meeting for many weeks, although you promise them a good business than also. ( My Personal observation, could be different from yours)
15) If you are going for a meeting, you have to sit for some time waiting for the host. ( Again my Personal observation, could be different from yours)
16) One will find more security people posted in Delhi compare to Mumbai or other cities.
17) You will find the Rikshawalas in Delhi. For foreigners they can charge 100 times more than us.

18) Be ready to loose your costly vehicles at any time. I saw board like following in Carol Baugh area: Vehicle theft area, lock your vehicle properly. What a joke, they are accepting that thives are free to steal the vehicles.

Good Points of Delhi:
1) Metro is a very good medium to travel in Delhi
2) All monuments are well preserved and in good condition.
3) Lots of malls and places are available to spend the excess money. :)

4) MCD always try to save the trees which are coming in road widening, in Maharashtra it is a comman observation that government tries to cut as much as trees as possible.
