Is a city of temples. Another cleanest cit I saw after Indore. Famous for its temples of Mahakaleshwar which is from 12 Jyotirlingas, Kal Bhairav temple where Spirit (Liquor) is offered as a chadava to God Shiva.  And few more temples like Bhrutuhari (Nephew of Gopichand) and caves etc.  Few points noted in Ujjain are 1) Another clean city 2) Good approach roads 3) The temples were very old which were destroyed in attacks of Arab invaders 4) Current temples are built by Ranoji Shinde and Shinde clan of Gwalior hence one can find impact of Maharashtraian culture and  architect on it.

Fort Dhodap

  Fort Dhodap from Hatti Village Trek to Fort Dhodap : 10th January 2021    Fort Dhodap is the third highest fort in Maharashtra. (4829 ft ). It is one of the most important fort in Nashik district. It is located at a very strategic location and can keep eye on huge area and neighbouring forts. We started our trek from hatti village side at 10 am around. Humid and hot atmosphere started showing its effect.    First Gate Marathi Inscriptions   There was a big road to climb on the fort which used to call as Rajmarg. The aged people from village used to tell us that through that route elephants used to go on the fort, but now no one is using that road, it is covered by the thick bushes. We started climbing by a new shortcut road which is quite vertical and took good time to reach at the first gate of the fort which is in ruined condition.   Fort Khairai : 7th December 2020 First Trek after Lockdown with old team mates of Vainateya but with new generation excellent team leaders. Fort Khairai. A fort on the boundary of Maratha Empire and Mughals in the era of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Koli King of Jawahar, Marathas and Mughals had owned it. No actual history available.    It his having destroyed Bastion's and walls. 2 water tanks and 1 well. 2 destroyed canons. It is having strategic important location to keep control on the old trading routes. Beautiful surrounding and views. Peth and Harsul are Kashmir of Maharashtra but with very bad and narrow roads.
