Flat Face and Flat Belly Boats on Narmada River 

Beautiful bluish crystal clear water, crowd of small flat end boats and chanting of Narmade Har, yes this is Omkareshwar.  The entry starts with extra amount on entry charges and few locals following you or guiding you on bikes to show you parking place and showing you boats. Just like other holy Hindu places the area is full of agents who will try to earn a little by offering help.  On our visit these locals tried to help us to fix the boat, Guruji to do Abhishek ( Pooja) in temple and even to find the hotel to have lunch.

Ghat and Temple of Omkareshwar 
 Whatever.. the beauty of Omkareshwar is enchanting and the strong flow of River Narmada attracts mind of person. The temple is on the right bank of Narmada River and is surrounded by small temples and other old houses. The location is beautiful and one must visit it in lifetime.  Would love to write more but do not wish to enter in the history part of religion.

Fort Dhodap

  Fort Dhodap from Hatti Village Trek to Fort Dhodap : 10th January 2021    Fort Dhodap is the third highest fort in Maharashtra. (4829 ft ). It is one of the most important fort in Nashik district. It is located at a very strategic location and can keep eye on huge area and neighbouring forts. We started our trek from hatti village side at 10 am around. Humid and hot atmosphere started showing its effect.    First Gate Marathi Inscriptions   There was a big road to climb on the fort which used to call as Rajmarg. The aged people from village used to tell us that through that route elephants used to go on the fort, but now no one is using that road, it is covered by the thick bushes. We started climbing by a new shortcut road which is quite vertical and took good time to reach at the first gate of the fort which is in ruined condition.   Fort Khairai : 7th December 2020 First Trek after Lockdown with old team mates of Vainateya but with new generation excellent team leaders. Fort Khairai. A fort on the boundary of Maratha Empire and Mughals in the era of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Koli King of Jawahar, Marathas and Mughals had owned it. No actual history available.    It his having destroyed Bastion's and walls. 2 water tanks and 1 well. 2 destroyed canons. It is having strategic important location to keep control on the old trading routes. Beautiful surrounding and views. Peth and Harsul are Kashmir of Maharashtra but with very bad and narrow roads.
